Kingston Hotels Group becomes one of the first in Bangkok to fully vaccinate all staff

Kingston Hotels Group, one of Bangkok’s leading developer and operator of deluxe hotels, has fully vaccinated all eligible hotel and corporate staff in anticipation of a return to normal for Thailand’s hospitality industry in 2021.

The roll out is part of the Group’s ‘KHG FIGHTS COVID-19: We Are All Vaccinated!’ campaign, which kicked off with the first round of staff vaccinations in early May. It is one of the first hospitality groups in the Thai capital to achieve this significant milestone.

The vaccination drive also emphasises Kingston Hotels Group’s dedication to the welfare of all staff across its seven properties and corporate office in the Thai capital, according to the Group’s owner Suravee Singhlukha.

“We are delighted to have completed the second round of vaccines for all of our local and foreign national staff,” he says. “It’s a testament to the onus we place on the wellbeing of everybody involved in the company, as well as the incredible work of our official healthcare partner World Medical Hospital.”

One of the latest additions to Bangkok’s globally-renowned healthcare industry, World Medical Hospital partnered with Kingston Hotels Group last year to provide state-of-the-art services at each of its three alternative state quarantine (ASQ) properties, namely Solitaire Hotel and Eleven Hotel, both situated on the centrally-located Sukhumvit 11, as well as Sukhumvit 15’s Royal President Hotel.

Throughout the pandemic the four-star hotels have provided guests with an upscale, safe and healthy experience during their quarantine period, including complimentary airport pick-up service on arrival, three COVID-19 screening tests, round-the-clock on-site nurse, 24-hour emergency ambulance service transfer from hotel to hospital and a doctor’s consultation via video call between 08.00 and 17.00 hrs.

The European-inspired Kingston Suites, meanwhile, located just a stone’s throw from one of Bangkok’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, has been temporarily repurposed as a ‘hospitel’ catering to local Bangkok residents under quarantine with minor health issues. The boutique 60-room property also continues to offer serviced apartment-style packages for long-term guests in a separate building.

With all staff now vaccinated, the Group will continue gearing up for the return of tourism with the launch of two new hotel brands in late 2021. A 279-key hotel spread across two towers at the old President Park Hotel on Sukhumvit 24 will feature a Silk Road-themed interiors, while the operator’s fourth hotel on the bustling Sukhumvit 11 hotel is set to introduce a chic, contemporary brand with subtle references to Thailand’s historic Rattanakosin Era to its burgeoning Bangkok collection.

“Although a degree of uncertainty remains in Bangkok’s hospitality industry, we are quietly confident that the recent nationwide rollout of vaccines and success of vaccination strategies elsewhere in the world will gradually result in the return of tourists sooner rather than later,” says Suravee. “We will be ready and look forward to welcoming them at our established and brand-new hotels around Bangkok.”
