CIWF invites food businesses to apply Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards 2022

Bangkok, Thailand: Compassion in World Farming International (CIWF) is recognised as the leading international farm animal welfare charity founded in 1967. Our Food Business programme influences the corporate policies of leading food companies to improve the welfare of farm animals in their supply; to rebalance their animal footprint; and to encourage a move towards more regenerative nature-friendly production systems.

CIWF engages with more than half of the world’s top 250 food companies across Europe, the US, Asia and more globally through their partner supply chains.

CIWF is inviting food businesses to apply for their 2022 Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards, and this year sees an exciting shift into Asia for these prestigious awards. This is a perfect opportunity for companies to gain recognition for the valuable contribution they are making towards improving animal welfare and sustainability.

There are four potential awards available this year:
Good Egg Award – celebrates companies that have a current policy or commitment to use only cage-free eggs or egg products by 2027.

Good Chicken Award – celebrates companies that commit to improving welfare standards for broiler chickens in their supply chain, addressing issues such as stocking density, breed, growth rates and the need for environmental enrichment.

Sustainable Food and Farming Award – recognises businesses that are taking steps to produce meat, dairy and eggs in ways that protect, improve, and restore wildlife and the environment

Planet Friendly Award – celebrates companies committing to meaningful meat (dairy, fish, or eggs) reduction targets in their supply chain

The deadline for applications is Monday 25th April 2022 and winners will be announced at Compassion’s Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards ceremony in London on 15th June 2022.

Good Luck!
