Taroko Sports and Gimmatek Unveil SWING X AI Swing Analysis System

11 units deployed across Taiwan and the United States as Taroko launches baseball technology validation program

TAIPEI, Oct. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Taroko Sports and Gimmatek today unveiled the SWING X swing analysis system at a launch event and media demonstration at Taroko’s Xizhi venue. Taroko also announced the launch of the Taiwan Baseball Technology Validation Incentive Program.

AI Swing Analysis and Instant Video Feedback Guide Batting Adjustments

SWING X combines high-speed video capture, instant video replay and AI swing analysis. Users can review footage and analysis results after batting to guide adjustments to their swing. The equipment is available in different configurations to accommodate venue layouts and event formats.

Yao-Mao Hsu, Executive Vice President of Taroko Sports, said the company is building practical experience in baseball technology through equipment use and feedback from its venues in Taiwan and the United States. This experience informs product refinements and overseas promotion.

Taiwan Tour and U.S. Venues Build Experience in Baseball Technology

A total of 11 SWING X units have been deployed across Taiwan and the United States, where Taroko operates five venues. In addition to venue installations, Taroko has brought the system to Chinese Professional Baseball League All-Star Game activities and organized an eight-stop “Swing Evolution Tour” across Taiwan, together recording more than 2,000 participant visits. Former professional baseball player Kuan-Jen Chen served as the tour’s head coach, combining swing footage with on-site instruction. Participants reviewed replays, adjusted their movements and returned to the batting area to apply the feedback in practice, while Taroko gathered experience with the system and feedback from users.

Taoyuan Venue to Serve as First Site for Baseball Technology Field Validation

Taroko is also launching the Taiwan Baseball Technology Validation Incentive Program, with the Taoyuan Sports Technology Center for Families and Seniors as its first site. Under the program, Taroko plans to provide validation resources valued at up to NT$1 million in the form of Taroko Dong Zi Coins to support product testing, user feedback collection and ongoing improvements. It aims to help Taiwanese baseball technology products progress from technical demonstrations to field testing and market validation. Establishing a Taiwan Baseball Technology Demonstration Center in Phoenix, Arizona, is a further development goal.
