The Wuqiao International Circus Festival ranks among the world’s top three circus events, alongside the International Circus Festival of Monte-Carlo and the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain. The global livestream offered audiences a close-up view of this long-standing performing art while highlighting its host location: Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, the birthplace and stronghold of Chinese acrobatics with over two millennia of history.
Founded in 1987, it is the first time that the main festival was held in Wuqiao County, the renowned “Hometown of Chinese Acrobatics.” A total of 28 delegations from 19 countries and regions participated in the international circus competitions.
The live broadcast featured a trilingual hosting team of 10, including Xinhuanet host Alexandra, Influencer Baobao Xiong, hosts Yegur and Tina, as well as students from Communication University of Zhejiang and Yanching Institute of Technology. The hosts provided professional commentary and engaging interactions, delivering an immersive experience to audiences worldwide.
